OMG

It has been far too long since I've been on here and updated. To tell you everything that has happened between then and now would take me forever so to shorten it all up... BUSY. I have been way too busy for my own good. I don't even know what to say right now since I'm sickly and really don't feel like writing and for that I apologize. SO this is an update basically to tell you I'm still alive and still hoping to get a computer and get back to writing more frequently here soon. I'm Ready!

Today is one of the most majestic days in the world. WHY??? Because my Xbox finally arrived. I'm very excited to go pick it up and get to play with the new shiny toy. Gabe bought me Dead Island and the MW3 matching headset I wanted. I went shopping with Gabe yesterday and bought a whole lot of really cute shirts and jeans and shoes. OMG SHOES. One pair is a shiny color changing purple/teal that kind of made me feel like Katy Perry. I feel girly and I like it. Despite playing MW3 and being a total chic geek, I'm totally a girly girl somewhere underneath. Becca has parent teacher conferences today and her first soccer practice. Hope she got enough sleep last night considering she didn't shut her mouth and close her eyes until 11:30. Oh well, she'll learn. Have to go play MW3... YAY EXCITEMENT!!! Later! <3

Every Now & Then

Okay so I didn't post yesterday... obviously. I no longer have a computer! Fun times. I had been using my friend Alex's laptop while my desktop has been in the shop since December with a bad motherboard. Sadly, this means my postings will be a little sporadic until I get a computer back or something else figured out. Yesterday was okay but I didn't really do anything. Alex and Stan are getting ready to move into a bigger apartment and I went over last night to play MW3 while they packed. Today I think I'm going shopping for some new jeans. YAY JEANS!!! I have very few jeans and am ready for some new clothes. Really hoping my Xbox gets here soon too. Not sure when I'll be able to post again, but since mom doesn't mind me using her computer when she isn't doing homework I will try to post as often as possible. Sunday

Yep. That's today. Getting closer and closer to Tuesday all the time. I'm trying to be patient. Today is pretty chill. Mom is doing homework while Becca and I watch Big Time Rush. Technically I'm blogging and playing on Facebook, but BTR doesn't bother me as much as other shows she wants to watch. New episode of Walking Dead tonight. Yay! :) Apparently, Suddenlink (my cable and Internet provider) is considering dropping AMC. That would totally suck... a world where I have to watch Breaking Bad and Walking Dead only online. That world makes me kind of sad. At my house, we get together to watch these shows together. That's the only time we really get to hang out together. We don't watch any other show together like we do with those. I think one of these days soon I am going to buy myself some jeans. I make one pair into cut-offs and am just working on getting them hemmed up. Later! <3

OMG BTW FTW

Okay so today has been a lot of just lounging around the house being boring. In fact, I think the most interesting thing I did up until about a half hour ago was make some coffee. What did I do a half hour ago, you ask? Well, I bought myself my first gaming console since the PS2. I bought myself an Xbox 360 MW3 Limited Edition that comes with 2 controllers (also in the same theme as the machine), a headset, and the game (MW3). I have my own live account but have been using my dads Xbox. Now I'll have my own. I'm SO very excited for this. I had to go ahead and get the Rush delivery to get it sooner. It should be here either Tuesday or Wednesday. Basically, I talked with mom and we're going to wait to get a living room set so we can have the Xbox. I haven't ever bought myself something this nice before, so I'm very excited to say I bought a big ticket item all by myself. Tonight I'm going to go do some laundry and play some MW3. First, we're going to dinner with my grandparents and my Aunt and Uncle from out of town. Later! <3

Eventually

I figure, eventually, I will eventually get myself to a point where I am posting again during normal daylight hours. I have felt absolutely horrid for the last two days. Today I was very blah for most of the day. I slept until 2:30 in the afternoon and was still sickly. I feel better right now, but sadly I know I have to go to bed... so that I can wake up tomorrow and feel like crap all over again. I'm less than excited. After I woke up, I watched some TV and then went to the Salvation Army's Chili Cook-off. Everyone came down and helped support the SA Youth Night. After the cook-off we went out to Perkins and get some food. Becca and I went to my dads and played some MW3. She was really good today while mom and I were both sick, so she got to stay up a little late tonight and hang out. In all, it's been a pretty good day despite not feeling well. 3 A.M

It's that time of night... the time when I should be sleeping but can't so I have decided to blog instead. Nothing real exciting has happened today. I've been sickly all day with sinus crap that just makes me miserable. That's a good word for what my day has been: Miserable. I played Modern Warfare 3 and hung out with Alex and even got some laundry done. I felt so crap-tastic though that the whole day kind of zoomed by in a blur. I sure hope I feel better tomorrow since I have to be at a church function at 6. We're having a chili cook-off of sorts and an auction. So, like I said, I hope I feel better for all of that. SO Much Fun!

 Today was pretty good over all. When I woke up it was a bit of a mad dash for the door. Had to get laundry done, help fix my grandparents dresser, pay my personal property taxes, pick up Casey and take her to see a potential little dog for her, and go to Maryville. There was just so much on such a tight schedule. It all went rather smoothly though.
 Not sure how the dog thing is going for Casey, the guy did not seem too excited to get rid of the little dog. We will just have to keep looking if this doesn't end up working out. I kind of hope it does though, I think it could be a good match for her.
 Despite being so busy, I did get to go to Maryville with my girls. Alex, Raye, and I went to see Chaz Bono speak at NWMSU to talk about his transition from Female to Male and promote his newest book Transitions. We all enjoyed this very much. It was nice to hear about his story of how he struggled and how real he was about his experience with what he's been through. I congratulate him for his strength to be able to not only talk about himself, but also to help other people with their struggles. Alex and I got our picture taken with him, and Alex and Raye both bought his book and got it signed. He was kind of a cutie in my opinion.

The Play

Tonight is Becca's school play. She is a Fisherman and has her own line in one of their songs. Following in my footsteps already. Anyways, today we started cleaning out my sisters basement. It was a total mess down there. Only like half a billion spiders down there so... that was fun. Went to lunch with my grandparents at Ryan's and then went to buy my new couch. Sadly my couch was already sold. So I am still lacking a new couch. Becca is being a little obnoxious right this moment but that's okay, she's meant to be nuts. My friends are pretty freaking awesome, by the way. Just throwing that out there. Hmmm.... Well I have to get around for Becca's play so I will check back in with you all tomorrow. Later! <3

Woo!!!!!!!!

Excitement. I am so close to Prestige on MW3. Okay, so by close I mean level 66. Whatever, I'm calling it close. Today was a lot of hurry up and wait. I kind of like that. I got up early and ran most of my errands, then got to do laundry and play MW3, then I had to rush to church (I was still late) and then make donuts, then I got to sit around at home, and then had dinner with Gabe, Dom, and Sarah. Sarah is Dom's girlfriend. They're all cool people. This means I got to see all of my close knit people (minus a Stan) today. Alex and Raye were at church and then the dinner of course. Delicious by the way... is it horrible of Sarah and I to play MW3 while the boys were in the kitchen? I can't speak on her behalf, but I thought it was hilarious. Full 3 course dinner is always kick ass. Salad, grilled chicken and fries, and then strawberry short cake for dessert. It was amazing. Boys should cook more often! I stayed up WAY too late though and should have probably been home and in bed like 2 hours ago. Oh well, I enjoyed my day. Plus, the weather was freaking awesome. Tomorrow  they're talking like it's going to be up in the 70's. Is it fair to call it Spring yet? Later! <3

Shocking

No, not my life. Although, it is very scandalous... uhm... NOT. Anyways, no, what I find shocking is the stats on this blog. I enjoy getting on every day and looking at how many people have checked out my blog and where they're from. Although most of my viewers are from right here in America, it amazes me how many views I get from other countries. 26. That's how many views come from outside of the United States. Russia has 17 views, Germany has 6, and Uruguay has 1. Most of my readers are using Safari browsers, on Windows operating systems. I would like to take an opportunity to thank everyone who comes and reads my blog. It makes me feel like what I have to say matters... whether it does or not is completely indifferent. So thank you for that. Also, I am a little bit of everything and my family tree is more spastic than you can imagine. I have family from all over the world and it's nice to feel a little more connected to (related or not) different parts of the world.

As for what I had going on today, the reply is basically "Not Much." I've really done a whole bunch of nothing. We had my brother and my dad over for dinner tonight. We made Reuben's, Hash Browns, and French Fries. Yum! After dinner we watched The Walking Dead and have just been hanging out since then. Talk to you tomorrow! Later! <3

What To Do...

I get the day off! All I really have to do today is shop for food for moms birthday party on the 18th, and pick Becca up from her moms. I think mom plans to go sit in my aunt's Hot Tub, I might join in for that. Other than that I really have jack going on today. This thought does not bother me at all, by the way. I have been so busy for so long that it's nice to be able to say, "I have absolutely nothing going on" and really mean it. Right this moment I'm just watching TV and getting ready to write to my Senator that I got to see the other day. I am very excited for what is coming soon. Feels Like Today

No, for serious, it does. It feels like a perfectly perfect Friday. It's a busy one, but still a good one. I love the weekends. I had to take mom to her doctors appointment at 1 today, she is having the first half of her surgery today. They are going to basically burn the nerve endings that are sending the messages of pain. She was not very excited (who would be though) but went in and is getting through it. I had to leave and run to the post office and now I'm just waiting to go to my training at the Salvation Army at 3. Then at 4, also at the Salvation Army, we are having a Friday get together until 7. When I get done there I am going to go hang out with Gabe. This whole month is just filling up so quickly. It's nuts to think that it's March already. Wasn't it just January? I feel like this year has started out in a blur. I hate how quickly time goes by now that I'm older. Does anyone else remember those days of being really young and the days just went on and on forever? I wish things didn't have to change so rapidly. Nostalgia, I have it apparently. Oy!

Alright, yesterday was super awesome. We didn't get to speak with our Representative, but we did speak with our Senator. Although I don't think we swayed his vote one way or the other, I do think we made an impression. He said he would give it his consideration, and I will take a 'Definate Maybe' over a 'No' any day of the week. The Capital Building here in Missouri is absolutely gorgeous. Had fun with Alex, Raye, and the rest of the group that we got to go with.

Let's talk about what's going on today. Gabe is still not finished with my room. I could deal with this if it wasn't slowly killing me. I wake up every morning unable to breathe and even better, I get to sleep on the couch which doesn't help me sleep any better so I get to wake up with a headache every day. I'm ready to get out of here for the day and go do laundry. I will probably play some Modern Warfare 3. I had to take my nasal spray, Suddafed, and Aspirin today so that I could have some kind of motivation to get out of bed. I will be more than happy when all this gets done. Anyways, I'm headed out I think, but I hope you all have a better day than I'm having. Later! <3

Real Quick

And I do mean REAL QUICK. My day has not been all that busy and I should have posted something long before now, but since I have to be up and ready to roll in 4 hours... we'll see how well THAT freaking works... I think it's about that time to make a post and be all like "I'm alive!" This works though since I will be at Missouri's capital, Jefferson City to petition for equal rights, and subsequently unable to post tomorrow. Today was really rather boring, I did laundry and played MW3. That was seriously about it. My dad got a new guitar though, so I checked that out. It is not only gorgeous, but epic in sound. Tomorrow is going to be a lot of driving, but it's for what I believe to be a good cause. I don't even get to drive, I get to ride. Becca decided to lie about not having homework which kept me up an extra two hours. THAT kind of ticked me off since my mom knew I had to get up early... but she got to go to bed early. I didn't quite see the fairness in all of that but whatever, I'm moving past it slowly. Just slightly frustrated. I think I'm stressing out more just because it's the day of leaving and being slightly blind sided. Anyways, I have to go get to bed. Talk to you on Thursday. Later! <3

I was wondering why I didn't remember posting yesterday. Must have been because I didn't post. Yesterday was so crazy. I felt like I was running around in circles all day. I woke up late and had a ton to do before my plans to go out. Oh well. Had a good time, had dinner with the boys and their girls and then watched the newest episode of The Walking Dead. Today I think the plan is to completely sand down my room and then primer and repaint again. This will be the third time painting. The paint has been bubbling up and popping and being a total disaster. I also have church group tonight at the Salvation Army from 4-7 pm. Anyways, has anyone else felt like the last several weeks have just been a complete and total blur or is that just a me thing? Get It On!

No, nothing dirty. Just my day. It has got to be a great freaking day. I know this is what's up because today I get to go shopping with my boys. For most girls, this would probably be very very lame, but I'm not most girls. Right now I just got out of the shower and am looking good (as per usual) and am watching the 100 Greatest Women in Music on VH1. Definitely awesome to take a look at where the girls have gotten without the guys. Anyways, my boys are ready to come pick me up so I guess I need to wrap this all up lol. Today will be epic because I choose to make it so and going out with the guys can be just as good a time as going with the girls. By the way, listen to more music, it is the only thing I know of that can: mend a broken heart, soothe the soul, change your mood completely, and be awesome all at the same time or do one by one as needed. I wanted to throw this in here real quick while it was on my mind. I am currently watching Danica Patrick on C-SPAN and although I'm not a huge racing fan, Go her. She is the first woman to go out and seriously commit herself to racing in NASCAR. She's cute, she's funny, and she's pretty down to earth it seems. I've heard a lot about her on whether or not she should be on TV in the commercials or whatever. I really hope she keeps her faith and although I don't really watch NASCAR or anything like that, I support that this woman wants to go out and follow her dream. I guess today I am all about Girl Power today. This was just something that came into being though as I watched this, thought I would throw out a "You Go Girly" to Danica. I'm getting off here now lol. LATER FOR REAL THIS TIME!!! <3

What a Day!

I have so much going on today. At least, it seems like it. It's taking forever to get it all started. I have to repaint my room, go to my dads to clean house, dinner for my cousin's birthday, and hanging out with Gabe later. It's 1 pm and I feel like I'm running out of time already. I'm ready to have my room finished though, that part is very exciting to me. Hanging out with Gabe is also going to be enjoyable. The rest of it... about par for the course if we're being honest. I really didn't intend to write this early in the day, but since my help for painting is taking longer than I expected... well... I had some free time. Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

That has been my day. I've had very little coffee and PMSing. It has not been a wonderful day to be honest. It started out good and I've not been too bad off until recently. I went to lunch with Gabe and then went to my dads and played MW3 with Alex, Becca, and my dad. I really have no reason to be upset, other than the whole PMS thing. SO now I'm sitting on the couch talking with dad and Alex while mom makes dinner and Becca reads a book. I had to take some Midol and get a little food in me with some coffee, it makes for a much happier me. I am really looking forward to dinner. We're having Pork Cutlets, Mashed Potatoes, and Macaroni and Cheese. Since that's about done, I think I'm getting off here. Later! <3

Too much!

So yesterday we went to Dave & Busters and it was absolutely amazing! I've been raving about it to anyone who would listen. Today was pretty boring considering. On our way home last night, we blew a tire. We got home around 4 am and I got to bed around 4:30. Guess who had to wake back up a few hours later... It was me. I've been up all day though so tonight will likely be an early to bed kind of day. I went shopping with my mother today after she had another round of shots for her arthritis. We have found a new couch that we are in love with! I'm really hoping to buy it once my taxes come back, but we will have to wait and see. We're excited to possibly be getting rid of our current uncomfortable and ugly couch. That's about all we did today though. Birthdays!

Today is my good friend Stan's birthday! He is married to my friend Alex who I talk about frequently. We are going to Kansas City to Dave and Busters for dinner, then we're going to see Star Wars ep. 1 in 3D. All this is supposed to be a surprise, which may make you wonder why I'm writing all about it. My reasoning for writing all about it, is mainly because I know he isn't reading my blog. Not many people are, yet. That's okay. I will keep writing anyways. So today should be fun. I think I'm going to go feed Nina (my snake), do some laundry, and play some MW3. Monday, Monday

So good to me? You bet it is. Today I'm going to paint my room in a gorgeous light green color called Crisp Morn from Better Homes and Gardens color schemes. Turned out much more vibrant than I expected. OH! Let me tell you about my adventure with paint yesterday.

I went to the store to get my paint yesterday and I gave the color swatch to the cashier and he began mixing my color. Eight blue and two green, the machine said. I didn't ask about all the blue since I am not a paint mixologist. He finished with the mixing of the paint and showed it to me. I was very disappointed to find that my paint was a grey color and nothing like the green I had expected. He was very sweet and could tell that I was sad, he told me I did not have to take it. I talked with my mother for a few minutes about it to see if I wanted it anyways and he kindly intruded to ask if it was okay if he tried a different way. He tried it the new way (not sure what he did differently) and the machine said 4 yellow and 2 green. After he finished mixing it, the color was absolutely perfect. He was an absolute doll for helping me and being so understanding.

So today I paint! I am very excited to rearrange my room and get settled in to my apartment. Hope you guys have a great Presidents Day! Later! <3

What a Night

Last night was pretty sweet. I got to spend the evening with my girls. We went to see Angela and her new baby. We went to the NWMSU Common Ground Drag Show, which was fun. This was my first time going to a drag show and my friends said that they've seen better... I enjoyed it though. After the show, we went to Applebee's with our friend Lance since he wasn't able to go to the show with us. It was good getting to see everyone. It was a very fun night, to say the least. Today my friend Gabe is coming over and we're watching the new episode of The Walking Dead. Becca has decided that since we're watching what I want later, she gets to watch Disney Channel all day. Although I don't really want to watch Disney all day; there is a lot worse that an 11 year-old could be watching, so I can't really complain. Hope you have had a great weekend like I have. Later! <3

To A Good Evening

Yesterday I didn't get a chance to post. I was very busy getting ready for a dinner I went to, along with doing laundry. Laundry went as well as can be expected, nothing exciting there. Played some MW3 and spent that time with my dad. The dinner was lovely though. We went to Red Lobster and then went to see the new movie Safe House. The movie was alright, although I'm not a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds or Denzel Washington. The movie itself was alright though, as I said, but a little boring at some points. Overall though, better than some of their previous movies I've seen. After the movie was over, I went over to my friend Gabe's house for a little while and played some more MW3. He thinks I'm addicted. I refuse to believe it! So for today I'm going to a drag show at Northwest with my friends Alex and Raye. That's about my biggest plan for the day. Bored

Today has been just that, boring. Spent the vast majority of my day doing laundry and playing MW3. Played with some new cool people today though and added them as friends. Other than that, got to have lunch with one of my favorite people, and my bestfriend, Alex. Nothing spectacular (Taco Bell) but still enjoyable to see her on any given day. I also made coffee while at my dads and that was good to just hang out with him all day. My mother seemed a little upset that I took so long to do laundry, but that was only because I had to do two loads instead of one. Oh well, I'm a (almost) 21 year-old female. I'll do what I want :P Just Kidding (sort of). It's been a good day all-in-all. Getting ready to have chicken nuggets and fries for dinner at my dads. Yum! Later! <3

Busy, Busy, Busy

Today has been a lot of running around! Mom didn't end up getting her shots yesterday, but did go back in today for them. She was not thrilled but they seemed to help. We've done a lot of window shopping. We've been to Sav-On, Perkins, Maurice's, and K-Mart. Haven't bought anything other than some novelty coins, but had a good time. Mom hasn't been able to walk around like that in years. It was really nice to be able to just go and hang out with her. Picked up Becca and she ran a couple places with us too, mouthy today though. That was fun. Sarcasm... I have it! Anyways, we are just hanging out at home now, as that is all we really have going on. Steaks for dinner, should be good. Have a good night! Later! <3

Happy Valentines Day

If you were unaware, today is Valentine's Day! Big shout out to my friends Cody and Kali, today is also their birthday. No, they aren't related. Cody is my cousin's boyfriend and Kali is a friend I've had since I was in Middle School. ANYWAYS! Fun stuff to do today... and some not so fun stuff. Mom has to go in to have injections for her arthritis... no bueno. Later today, however, I get to go to Red Lobster with my friend Gabe, watch more True Blood (Starting Season 3!), and who knows? Getting to stay out a little later and have good company. Hooray! Very excited. My Valentine's Day(s) have never really been all that great. Snow Day!

We got to sleep in today! Snow started last night about 3 a.m, didn't stop until sometime this morning. School is cancelled, along with the youth night activities that Becca and I go to. We are members of the Salvation Army church and youth night, if you were wondering. Becca is a Girl Guard and I am a Youth Leader Assistant for the Moonbeams. Today we don't have much to do, but Becca has found some Lifetime movies she wants to watch. As for me, I don't know if I can go a second day with no Modern Warfare... that's just sad to think about. Wow...

SO! The Walking Dead Marathon is getting ready to start. Very excited to see Season 2 since I've seen all of Season 1 and none of 2 so far. That's really about all I've got going on today. Dinner at some point, I think I'm making homemade Ham and Beans with Cornbread. Might bake a cake or something for dessert. I'm pretty sure I won't be playing much MW3 today, but it's come to my attention that some people on there... well they really suck. Met a guy yesterday who went on a rant about how women need to learn their place and get back into the kitchen or the bedroom. Some people though, are actually really cool. There was another guy in the room with us who stood up for; not just me, but all women and then added me as a friend. It's amusing almost how people forget that the people one the other end of the Wifi signal are real breathing human beings. Oh well, point of the story: That guy was a prick and I reported him for it. Have fun and a great day. Later! <3

It's The Weekend!!!

Today looks to be a very boring one. Laundry needs done again, but doesn't it always? There is Modern Warfare 3 to be played. Best of all though? Marathons to be watched. There are sappy movies on USA all weekend (BOO!) and Walking Dead marathons today and tomorrow. That is the one I'm looking forward to by the way, Walking Dead. It's hard to be too upset about it being lazy Sunday with no football when AMC promises two days of such a great show. So I think my plan is to go do laundry, play MW3 with Becca, and then spend the night with AMC. Later! <3

Plans

I have so many so often. At least, so it seems. Oh well, got to play some more MW3, finally up to lvl 23 on my account. Not great considering, but when you don't own your own Xbox... playing and leveling can be a little hard. Some big stuff happening tonight, hoping to maybe attend. There is a VD party hosted by 96.5 the Buzz with some good alternative bands if you're in the KC metro near the Midland you should check it out! There is also some good movies that came out today, The Vow and Safe House are two that I'm looking forward to! Since the weather had to go and get all cold, maybe it would just be a good night to stay inside and watch your favorite TV shows. Good Morning

I woke up far too early today, but it's not too bad. Today is my granddad's birthday. So, I think today my plans are to do laundry, play MW3, and then go to my Aunt's for my grandpa's birthday dinner. Steaks and hot dogs made out on the grill. Kind of odd doing that in the middle of February in Missouri. Winter has been pretty mild this year in comparison to others. Anyways, today should be pretty good all things considered. I'm more than ready to go level up on MW3. I want my ACR 6.8 back! Well, I think that is all for now... but it's early. Time will tell.

My Day...

Let me tell you how awesome my day has been. I woke up to an empty house, which doesn't generally bother me too much, but today it does. Why? Because: My phone is out of service, no one was home, my car was gone, my lighter was missing, all this just at the begining of my day. It's been about 5 hours now... I don't think anyone is coming home today. So, I decided I would just lounge and enjoy my day as best as possible. SO I'm now sitting in my comfy shorts and a tank top watching NCIS on the TV. I never did find my lighter so I found some matches. So here I am... not very happy about my car being gone for five hours without being asked or even left a note as to where it would be spending it's day. I may have to change the name of my blog soon... I've gotten away from fashion obviously. Sorry about that. Time will tell what happens with all this.

My Geekdom

To be perfectly honest, I am not always the most fashionable human being. In fact, most of my friends are gamers and I spend as much time playing COD as possible. I myself am not perfect, but as a woman I still like to look pretty. So today I am going to share some personal geekdom with you to give you an idea as to what I like and what I do.

Yesterday I spent over an hour customizing my avatar on the Xbox. She ended up in the Xbox power up shirt in black, a red plaid skirt, vampire teeth, and knee high black boots. SO cute. I was wearing my Green Lantern symbol shirt with acid wash jeans and my DC shoes in reality.

I am telling you all about my days of COD and WoW and the (AWESOME) t-shirts with skate shoes for a reason. I actually had someone ask me why I would want to write a fashion blog... and to put it simply: Because I still have an opinion, Because I want it to be written down, and mostly Because I can. Later! <3

Halftime Fashion Review

I know a lot of people had to have watched the Halftime Show for the 2012 Superbowl last night. Did anyone else think that most of the actual outfits were kind of blah? I don't understand the roman inspired skirts anyways, but as a whole it was not very flattering to anyone who wore those outfits. Madonna looked pretty stunning though for being over 50. She's definitely still got it going on. Does anyone know why M.I.A decided that flipping off the camera was a good idea? To a point I understand the action, but it seemed more like a complete disrespect for fans of the Super Bowl, Madonna, the NFL, and herself. It's really nice to know that some artists really don't give a damn about their fans, so thanks for that M.I.A.

Completely Spastic Post.

I have been horrible these last couple of days. It's been a stressful last couple of days. Which, by the way equals for a not very fashionable few days. It doesn't help that yesterday was laundry day. On the up side, my niece is pretty fashionable lately! Since she got so many great gifts for her birthday, a lot of them being clothing and accessories... She has been rocking it out. I could seriously talk just about her every day. For an 11 year-old girl, she has a lot of spunk. She has also had a lot of flubs. I've had to walk her through a lot of what works and what doesn't. Hmmm... Maybe I should just talk about her fashion and faux pas! Things to think about! lol, Later! <3

For the Movies

Alright, I didn't get the opportunity to post yesterday and today has been so busy I almost missed out on it too. Let me start off with saying sorry for that! Never meant to leave anyone hanging.

TO THE POINT!!
Alright, jeez! So, today I went to see the newest addition to the Underworld series. It was nice to see Kate Beckinsale back in that skin tight leather outfit. I can only imagine how much baby powder that takes to get on and off for filming! To be honest though; talk about an outfit that looked just as good when the series started back in 2003, as it does today. A lot of movies seem to have that theme with them in circumstances like these (ex: Resident Evil) where the main character(s) wear the same or similar clothing in all of the movies. No sci-fi movie I have seen has done a better job of keeping the theme than the Underworld franchise. I love these movies and I love the outfits. What do you guys think? Later! <3

A Birthday Post!

No, not my birthday... that will be later in March. Today is my niece's birthday. She turns 11 today and has been non-stop excited. This post is more based on what I bought her since it is a rather fashionable gift. The first gift I picked out for her is a silver clutch purse with optional straps to turn it into a small bag. She also got a new fedora that is purple with sequins. SO very much her style since she is completely obsessed with the girly shiny stuff. The last thing she's getting is two clip-in feathers for her hair. She is very much interested with the fashion trends that she sees on a daily basis and we have gotten her a gift that fits into her interests and style. Here's hoping she likes it! Ruffles Are EVERYWHERE

Some things I will admit that I don't fully understand. Ruffles are one of those things. Sometimes they are done in such a way that they are cute, other times they are simply way over done and take it to so far of an extreme that it isn't funny. Well, I find it funny so... there's that. I know that I am no expert on these kinds of matters, but I also know that someone has to agree (and disagree) with me. Not that I personally care where you fall on the matter of any fashion choice, just making it clear that I know you; as a reader, may not agree with what I have to say every day. That is OKAY! I do want to hear about it though! Please tell me where you stand on ruffles while you look at this picture of how (I Believe) ruffles should be done! Later! <3

Manic Monday

Did anyone catch the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night? A few of the looks we saw were really gorgeous, some were a little lack luster and some... well some were just down right flub-tabulous. Did anyone else notice that for a red carpet event a lot of these stars did not have a lot of accessories? The makeup was about what I would do for prom. As far as fashion goes, I think this awards show was pretty much a sub par Hollywood event. Maybe we'll get to see some better looks as we get to more awards shows but this was just lacking in the fashion department. I can't even begin to get into who was best and worst dressed this year. If I had to choose I would probably say Lea Michele and Emma Stone would probably be my two top choices for best but Busy Phillips and Shailene Woodley have completely missed the bar for this event.

So to sum it all up here's my choice for the two best:

One of Those Days

Don't you ever have one of those perfect days? One of those days where everything goes absolutely right, where you have no plans to stress you out, all the laundry is done, and you could literally sit around in those comfy pants and a tank top. That's the kind of day I'm having. It's what I like to call a lazy day.
Now you're probably wondering what any of that has to do with fashion, and to be honest it's more about being unfashionable. Days like this were made for being comfortable more than looking good.

This is kind of what my outfit today looks like, except I'm lounging and not a size 4. This particular outfit is actually for sale (the whole thing, not JUST the pants or JUST the top) in US sizes up to a medium (that part does me no good). I would love to have more days like today. To be fair, wouldn't we all? Anyways, that pretty much covers everything I wanted to talk about today. Later! <3

I Do Adore Dior

Okay, above is a party dress. I know, we're not talking about just ANY dress though. Nope. This dress is a Christian Dior original from his 2012 Spring collection. I love this outfit. From the dress, to the shoes, to the earrings. The dress comes just slightly above the knee, it gives the dress a bit of modesty to go with the light plunge at the neck. I can imagine this dress paired with my metallic heels, chandelier earrings, my black cardigan, and a small black clutch to make the perfect party dress. I think I'm in love! What do you guys think? My Flubs

Alright, so above I've posted a personal photo of mine from when I was a little younger. Just what I promised yesterday. I look at this photograph and think something along the lines of, "Well, I was young and it at least looks comfortable." Sounds like a good excuse if nothing else. I call this look "Teenage Angst". The jeans that bunch together in all the wrong places and make it look like there are waves in them as they trace a false form down my legs. Besides the fact that my hoodie is Cradle of Filth, the colors I chose, along with my dark hair completely washed out any color my face or hands may have had.

Now to be fair, I don't look like a total trainwreck here. I try not to let photos be taken when I look like a total freak show. I also don't dress like this anymore, or else I really wouldn't have a leg to stand on for writing this blog. That's a whole different conversation though isn't it?

To get to one solid point of this post, be careful of the colors you wear. If you're extremely pale like myself, stay away from super dark colors that might make you look like a ghost walking around in the dark. Just be aware of the colors you wear and how they look on you. We tend to ignore how colors look on us if we really like the article of clothing or the color of the piece. Try asking for someone else's opinion of your outfit if you're unsure.

Please don't take this as stop being unique or to stop dressing how you like. Just keep some tips in mind. That simple. Later! <3

Once Upon A Dress

Alright, let me start off by telling you a quick story:

I had every intention of telling you about a fashion fiasco of my very own. Sadly, my Facebook was not working so well today and I was unable to get into my photos or much of anything else. Since this was the case, I couldn't share my faux pas with you. So instead, I'm going to show you the wedding dress that I believe is the dress to end all fairy tales and starts the happily ever after process.

Okay, so this is from the Alfred Angelo Dream in Color Collection. This dress comes in a variety of colors (including Once Upon A Time) to go with any color pallet the bride should choose. My favorite color is the Berry, which is a very deep purple/red. With all the options of color, the weaved backing, the semi-cathedral train, the optional sleeves and the beautiful bottom beading; this dress takes the cake. It is offered in sizes ranging from 2 to 28 to make a beautiful fit for any bride without being too tight in all the wrong places. Also a dress not to break the bank, it comes at a price LESS than $1,500. Okay so let's get to the part where I stop teasing and telling and start actually showing!

DIY Review

Alright, so below I've posted a link to a cute idea to revise your old shirts, your boyfriend's old shirts, your ex-boyfriend's old shirts he left laying around your place, or a new shirt that you've decided you just didn't care for once you get home. I have not yet tried this walk-through, but I am definitely interested. This got my attention while I was researching for projects to do with my niece, and since I've done similar DIY projects before this seemed like a cute way to revamp those old shirts we both have laying around. This would seem to be a project that could work for anyone, would be adjustable to how tight or loose they would want it, and could be used on any basic t-shirt style.

Not that this is a perfect idea for everyone, but I personally think this is a very cute way to modify those clothes we don't fit in or don't care for after the purchase. If anyone tries this out before I get to it, let me know how it works out for you. As for me, I will post about this again once I get the opportunity to check it out. Later! <3

And in the Beginning

Welcome to the first post on my brand new blog! We'll be getting down to fashion reviews, things I like, and other things in my next post. This is just to say hey and make sure everything is working and looking the way I want. Celebrity fashions aren't really where I'm concerned, mostly just to make a collection of things I like, things I think are "faux pas" and mainly just have my opinion out there for the world.

A few things about me:
My name is Faye and I'm from a relatively small town in Missouri. My favorite color is purple. Not sure what else anyone would need to know that would tie into fashion that you won't learn as time passes.
